On November 11, 2022, we declared that we will take the lead in contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in our business, environment, and daily life through our own business activities.

  • GENDER EQUALITY

    Gender Equality
    Initiatives to improve the
    work environment for
women and realize a gender-free society

KYODEN Group is committed to creating an environment that empowers women by helping them fulfill their potential (positive action) and balance work with child raising.

    Male to Female Ratio

    Male 62.9% Female 37.1%

Manufacturing lines still mostly comprise men, however, the number of long-term female employees who have returned to work after taking childcare leave is increasing. Moreover, it is interesting to note that the ratio of female employees is higher in our Thailand factory.

    Ratio of female managers

In an effort to encourage more women to take management positions, we are working to reduce the average overtime of managers from the current 40 hours/month to less than 30 hours/month on average.

Ratio of employees utilizing childcare leave

Encouragement of male employees to utilize childcare leave
Cooperation between partners is essential when raising children.
Through actively encouraging male employees to utilize childcare leave, we are striving to resolve unnecessary divisions of roles arising from gender differences and to improve the environment for women.

Renewal and opening of the employees’ restaurant at our Nagano Factory

Our Nagano Factory renewed its employees’ restaurant in September 2021 for the objectives of boosting the health management and motivation of employees and stimulating communication.

By providing nutritionally balanced meals at low prices and creating an open environment, we are striving to increase the restaurant utilization rate and help employees stay healthy.
Moreover, we have revamped the layout to allow various uses such as meetings, intensive work, rest and so on during periods outside of mealtimes. By preparing an environment that is conducive to the vitalization of communication, we aim to boost productivity.
