Company History

1983 Kyoden Co., Ltd. was established at 89-1, Minami-Minowa-mura, Kamiina-gun, Nagano prefecture with a nominal capital of JPY 1.5 million.The purpose of the company was to design industrial robots and to market general electrical appliances.
1990 Kyoden Co., Ltd. opened its factory at 482-1, Mikka-machi, Oaza, Minowa-machi, Kamiina-gun, Nagano prefecture, and relocated its headquarters to that site (which is currently the company’s Nagano branch).
1993 Became a capital participant in Showa Mining Co., Ltd. (now Showa KDE Co., Ltd.) through third-party share allocation.
1997 Registered shares with the Japan Securities Dealers’ Association for over-the-counter trading.
1998 Gained ISO9001 certification, the international quality control standard, for the headquarters factory.
1999 Shares issued on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Second Section.
2001 Made Toei Denshi Co., Ltd. (current company) and Toei Denshi (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (now Kyoden (Thailand) Co., Ltd.)into consolidated subsidiaries.
2002 Gained ISO14001 certification, the international standard for environmental management systems, at the current Nagano office.
2003 The operations of our subsidiary (now renamed Nippon Elec Co., Ltd.) were transferred from the former Nippon Elec Co., Ltd., and it became our consolidated subsidiary.
2007 Merged with our subsidiary Toei Denshi Co., Ltd.
2008 Acquired all stock in Kyoden Finetech Co., Ltd., which had been established by incorporation-type split from Airex Inc., making the company a consolidated subsidiary.
2010 Made our subsidiary Showa KDE Co., Ltd. a full subsidiary. Acquired all stock in the subsidiary Fuji Machinery MFG. & Electronics Co., Ltd. (now part of this company), making it a full subsidiary.
2013 Consolidated the production functions of Sakai and Mihara factories of the subsidiary Fuji Machinery MFG. & Electronics Co., Ltd. (now part of this company) in the Osaka Factory (Izumi Otsu, Osaka).
2015 Acquired all stock in Kyoden Precision Co., Ltd., which had been established by incorporation-type split from Tec Precision Co., Ltd., making the company a consolidated subsidiary.
2016 Merged with the subsidiaries Kyoden Tohoku Co., Ltd., Kyoden Yokohama Co., Ltd., and Kyoden Osaka Co., Ltd.
